Yosemite Water Recreation |
Swimming, rafting, and floating on the Merced River are popular activities during the summer months. By midsummer, the Merced River in Yosemite Valley becomes warm enough and is still deep enough to raft down substantial portions.
There are swimming pools are located at the Ahwahnee Hotel, Yosemite Lodge, and Camp Curry; they are open during the summer months.
For those interested in a more adventurous rafting experience, the following rafting outfitters have trips down white water sections of the Merced and other nearby rivers.
